Episode 43: John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum (2019)

This week we leap straight into the next John Wick film with executive producer David Leitch. Leitch actually co-directed the first Wick film but was uncredited with Chad Stahelski getting the full credit for that film. Do the Wick films get better each time, or was Chapter 2 the peak? Listen and see what we think!

Season 2, Episode 16

THE Leap

How did we leap here?

Executive Producer: David Leitch

From: John Wick: Chapter 2

Chosen by:
Crew (Scott)
Film (Glenn)

For some reason Scott didn’t pick Keanu to leap with. To really annoy Glenn he picked an executive producer, who Glenn argues has little to do with the creative elements of a film and goes against the spirit of picking a leaper because you want to see more of their work and/or style. However, Glenn is an idiot who regularly picks leapers who are barely on screen for more than a couple of seconds… so 🤷‍♂️

Where are we leaping to?

Stunts: Heidi Moneymaker

To: National Treasure

Chosen by:
Crew (Mike)
Film (Scott)

Scott keeps picking films Mike loves. Why is that? This time Mike chooses Heidi Moneymaker who has done a whole bunch of Marvel films, in the hope that Scott will be forced to finally see a marvel film for this podcast, but instead Scott found a film in which Heidi Moneymaker is an uncredited stunt person, and so we are now watching National Treasure (which opens up the possibility of leaping with Nic Cage again which is exiting!).
